5/23/2023 0 Comments Car cleaning putty![]() But there's always those little crumbs at the bottom of the cup holders and in the little phone tray that I can never get perfectly cleaned. I first vacuumed like I usually do, did a once over with a wet cloth and even used another car detailing brush to clean out the big stuff and the main dirt. ![]() They just looked like overpriced kids' slime but it really makes it easy to clean out all the little edges and crevices in your car. ![]() "I never really thought anything of these gels. offers praise, some advice, and a bit of criticism about the product in a 5-star review: According to the manufacturer the gel is "great to get into the vents and little crevices on the car air vents, steering wheels, console panel, storage bins, cup holder, door handles, dashboards to pick up the dirt." It's also made from a "biodegradeable gel material" and has a nice lavender scent.Īmazon reviewer Brando C. TICARVE's take on the cleaning gel has been sitting in Amazon's top 5 list of bestselling automotive products for a least a few months now, and it's easy to see why. Oh, and there's one more benefit to this multi-purpose cleaning tool: Most brands are super affordable. Basically, you just push the putty into any corners you're looking to grab dust out of, and when you peel it away the dust should come with it. It's becoming so popular because it's highly effective and dead simple to use. The fact is, you don't have to be a professional detailer to benefit from having a tool like this in your cleaning arsenal. Detailing putty, or cleaning gel as it's sometimes referred to, definitely isn't new, but it has gained a lot of popularity recently.

5/22/2023 0 Comments 1934 chrysler airflow![]() I once drove a Chrysler Airflow four-door more than 30 miles at a steady 70 miles per hour, and I can attest to the fact that it felt virtually like a modern car. In fact, the Chrysler Airflows with their big eight-cylinder engines are quite at home on modern freeways. ![]() And so equipped, you could cruise on a modern freeway at or above the speed limit without drama. Overdrive was not available on the DeSoto Broughams, but the coupes and four-door sedans did have it as an option. The transmission has synchromesh in second and third gears and shifts smoothly, so we are soon up to a comfortable cruising speed of about 50 miles per hour with the engine comfortably in its sweet spot. The engine is smooth and has plenty of bottom-end torque, so even though we are going uphill, acceleration is quite good for a car made 85 years ago. Looking out over the hood is uncannily like looking out over the hood of a VW Beetle in that it falls away abruptly, leaving you with nothing but a clear view of the road ahead. The lever curves down and forward under the dash, and the shifter ends up close to the dash even in high gear, making it a fairly safe arrangement for a third passenger in the middle. I pull the shift lever down into low gear and we are off. Chrysler’s engineers even consulted the Mayo Brothers, founders of the Mayo Clinic, on the ergonomics of the car, many years before ergonomics became a science unto itself. The big steering wheel is mounted almost straight up and down in front of you because the steering box is up in front of the front axle on this car, partially due to its short front end, and partly because the engineers at Chrysler knew that this position would make steering easier in this pre-power steering era because the more vertical position only involved your arms rather than having to get your back into it to turn the car. This swoopy tail end also proved to be better aerodynamically, and helped save fuel. Wind tunnel testing proved a rounded front end was aerodynamically superior to the old small box in front of a big box body. ![]() I verify that all is well, and then let off the parking brake using the chrome pistol grip handle in the center of the instrument panel. The dash looks like that of an early Volkswagen Type 1 (Beetle), with two big easy-to-read gauges consisting of a speedometer/odometer and trip meter in one saucer-sized unit, and a temperature gauge plus ammeter, oil pressure and gas gauges included in the second equal-size instrument, making it easy to discern the health of the engine at a glance. ![]() The 241.5-cubic-inch, 100-horsepower flathead six turns over a couple of times, comes to life, warms a little, and then settles into a smooth quiet purr. I depress the clutch, which is light, then twist the key and hit the starter. Several foreign cars, including the prototype VW Beetle, had a similar look at the time. I roll down the side window, and to my surprise, the vent wing goes down with it.ĭoes this styling seem familiar? It should. The seat is sofa-like and is soft, comfortable and very roomy. Climbing into the Art Deco-style front seat is easy, though you have to cantilever your bottom over the chrome pipe armrest attached to it. The door is sturdy, wide and accommodating. First let’s take this unique brougham for a spin. This is only part of the story, but more on that later. It has been said that the cars were “too unconventional” for the times, when automobiles were generally upright and squared off, with little to no attention paid to aerodynamics or streamlining. The DeSoto, and especially the bigger, more luxuriously appointed eight-cylinder Chrysler Airflows, caused a worldwide sensation when they debuted in 1934, but they did not become the sales success that Chrysler had hoped for. Or to put it more succinctly, when viewed from a distance, the car looks a lot like a horseshoe crab. (And yes, they did have metallic paint in 1934.) The car is a combination of aerodynamics and styling elements that almost works aesthetically. It’s a Brougham (what we would call a two-door sedan today) and is finished in sparkling metallic golden beige with brown fenders for accents. In Fact, It Looks More At Home On the Road Today Than It Did 85 Years Ago.Īvin Gebhard backs his impeccable 1934 DeSoto Airflow out into the sunlight. | By Jim Richardson In An Era Dominated By Boxy Automotive Designs, the Airflow Definitely Was Aerodynamically Ahead of Its Time. 5/22/2023 0 Comments Ff14 glass viper![]() It covers a good area, but suffers from the nerf of fall-off damage. Glass Dance is a decent primal ability that doesn’t really have any competition due to the fact that the one spell it shares a recast timer with is basically worthless on the one role that would need it. I would also suggest giving enemies an Ice Resistance Down debuff for a few seconds so that it could be chained into something like The Ram’s Voice for extra damage. That fight happens to be one of the hardest ones Pre-Heavensward, meaning you will really have to work to get the spell.Īs for improvements, Glass Dance covers a decent radius but the fall-off damage is a little disheartening considering how hard it is to obtain. Not to mention, this is probably the hardest primal ability from ARR to obtain due to the fact that you can only get it in Shiva EX during the last phase. However, similar to Shock Strike and Mountain Buster, it does suffer from fall-off damage that makes it a little less desirable when Feather Rain and Eruptiondon’t and have a much shorter cooldown period. Not to mention, the animation remains unique and interesting as you conjure up a bow of ice and let the icicles fly. And aside from a decent range from the point of casting, it covers a very wide area to the front and flanks, allowing you to pretty much mow down anything in front of you. It does have a longer recast time than all of those before it, but it doesn’t share one with any other offensive primal abilities so you can easily chain into it. Glass Dance is one of the more beloved primal abilities and one of the few that doesn’t really need to be compared to the others. It also shares a recast timer with Veil of the Whorl at 90 seconds. This one happens to be a conal AoE, ice-aspected attack that, for 500 MP, does 350 potency of damage to the first enemy it hits before doing 50% of that damage to all others within its range. ![]() Glass Dance is the fifth of what are known as Primal Abilities, the heavy damaging oGCD nukes for Blue Mages. Those who knew the lady Ysayle believe that Glass Dance may have taken form from her memories of observing hunters in Tailfeather. To fully replicate this technique, beloved of Shiva, the blue mage calls forth a bow of aether from which she fires a hail of razor-sharp icicles. In this case, we’ll be going over the forty-eighth spell that calls up a frozen flurry of frosty arrows that will pierce your enemies: Glass Dance. Welcome to the forty-eighth entry of the Blue Magic Curriculum, where we talk about the spells found in the Blue Mage Spellbook, along with their strengths, weaknesses, and what about them could be improved. 5/22/2023 0 Comments Iunit cirlce![]() Hopefully we can set an example and illustrate that tenants truly care about this stuff. Leconte: College students that I talk to ask why buildings like this don’t already exist. MHN: What’s been the response as you’ve introduced this concept? Whether they are divorced, or enjoy travel, or are on a budget-they still need a local place to call home. But I think we’ll be surprised by renter demand from Empty Nesters, also. Leconte: The key word is Millennials, of course. MHN: Who do you expect the residents to be? Car sharing and bikes are very feasible here. Walkable retail, transit, in theory the tenants don’t need a car. That’s really an amenity, for us, is the location. You’re out working, at school, out with your friends-you value the location more than you value the size of your apartment. Leconte: In a neighborhood like that, you’re not there to stay inside your place all the time. MHN: What value does the walkability add to the project? It’s a great neighborhood, with walkable retail. We’re looking at right under $1000 for the studio and $1250 for the one bedroom. One bedrooms in LoHi right now are going for $1450 to $1650. These are smaller units, so they come at a more attractive price point, even though you’re in a trendy neighborhood. Siting is in Denver’s LoHi neighborhood, which is one of the city’s trendiest neighborhoods. Studios will be around 390 square feet, one-bedrooms around 480 sf. Leconte: We’re building 40 units-30 studios, 10 one bedrooms. We’ll have wireless power transmitters as well. When the tenant walks in, they will have a mobile app to do things like pay rent and file maintenance requests, handle access to the building for guests, review their energy efficiency, and control wireless appliances like speakers. It will have a very contemporary look-think Apple Store meets IKEA. We will take advantage of the 9-foot high ceilings to have storage on the walls, using their Besta cubes. We are working with with IKEA to furnish the units. It’s better laid out, with smart storage solutions and space usage. Leconte: For this first project, we are focusing on building a smarter, smaller unit. MHN: How does that translate to the building design? Our goal is first to educate the tenant, and then empower them to make better energy choices. In the real estate industry, we know how to build an energy efficient building, but we don’t have a dashboard for the tenants like the dashboard inside the Prius, which lets the driver know how their behavior is affecting the vehicle’s efficiency. How can we introduce technology into buildings and achieve different things? Our goal is to use technology to empower tenants to be more energy efficient. The other thing that has never made sense to me has how commercial real estate has lagged behind in integrating technology into its buildings. We will use a factory in Idaho for the module construction. That’s the method we’ve chosen for our multifamily building. Building in a controlled environment, we end up with a much better, greener product and better worker safety. I’ve wanted to build differently for a long time, and modular construction has always made sense to me. One of them is on the modular front-why we are still building buildings out in the elements, while they are being rained and snowed on. ![]() Leconte: There are a lot of things in real estate that don’t make sense to me. MHN recently spoke to him about the project and what makes it unique. iUnit at Highland Park is his first foray into the multi-family space. “iUnit is really a reflection of how I see the world and what I want to do with commercial real estate,” said Leconte, who worked on large single-family home developments early in his career. iUnit is intended to challenge the way we think about apartment living today, says founder Brice Leconte.Ī Washington, D.C., entrepreneur with a passion for startup technology, Leconte is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Maryland as well as an advisor and mentor at Georgetown University. Rather, it’s a new modular housing project coming to Denver in 2015, blending smart energy use, wireless connectivity, green construction and the urban living preferences of American Millennials. Believe it or not, iUnit is not the next device a certain ubiquitous technology company wants you to run out and buy. 5/22/2023 0 Comments Elder sign omens free![]() This product is published by Fantasy Fight Games. This is an effective way to design any digital product because it lets us experiment and test out hypotheses.Īnd here's why the prototyping phase is vital: this process allows you to determine if everything works as intended and if the product solves user problems as expected - before release and before the final product reaches the end users. It includes most of the final UI design and interactions that the end product will have. The key goal of the prototype is to test products before spending time and money on the release. It is not just a beta test similar to the final release it is an exact copy of the end product. ![]() Prototype in design is a model that helps to visualize the placement of elements, the layout of graphics, as well as to show functionality, to demonstrate how the future site or app will look like. This post will act as a full-fledged guide to prototype design. We will define what a prototype is and what it is for, reveal main types, their pros and cons, explore the process of prototyping, and find out how to design a UX prototype for websites, web services, and applications. In this article, we will cover everything a designer needs to know and to do. And to reap the full benefits, you need to do it right. It's not enough just to create a mockup you need to have a deep understanding of the process involved with designing a product's initial sketches. Prototyping can either improve or break your final product. Finding a suitable form of prototyping is the only way to bring practical and viable ideas and concepts to life. To create an effective product, you need to think through every detail before developing. In fact, this is one of the most crucial stages in the whole design process.
